Product Description

DOWSIL™ 710 Fluid is a 100% active polyphenylmethylsiloxane silicone fluid engineered for high-temperature lubrication, heat transfer, and radiation-resistant applications in demanding industrial environments. It offers exceptional thermal stability, low volatility, and high resistance to oxidation.

• Viscosity: ~500 cSt / mm²/s (at 25°C)
• Chemical Composition: Polyphenylmethylsiloxane polymer fluid
• Thermal Stability: Maintains structure during continuous service up to 260°C (500°F)
• Radiation Resistance: Superior stability in radiation-exposed environments
• Low Volatility & High Flash Point: Minimizes evaporation loss at elevated temperatures
• Dielectric Strength: Excellent electrical insulation performance
• Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to +260°C (serviceable down to -57°C in special systems)

Applications

• Lubricant for timing devices, precision instruments, and bearings operating from 0°C to 260°C
• High-grade base oil for formulating molybdenum disulfide-thickened high-temperature greases
• Heat transfer medium in high-temperature heating baths and metal heat-treating processes
• Hydraulic snubbers and control valve systems in nuclear power units and radiation environments
