DOWSIL Q3-1566 is a high-temperature resistant RTV silicone elastomer for bonding and protecting electronics, automotive, LED lighting, and industrial components. Provides flexibility, electrical insulation, and durability from -45°C to +200°C.
DOWSIL™ Q3-1566 is a single-component, room-temperature curing (RTV) silicone elastomer with high heat resistance. It is specifically developed for the protection and bonding of electronic boards, power modules, lighting fixtures, automotive components, and other parts exposed to elevated temperatures.
Upon application, Q3-1566 penetrates into gaps and cures into a flexible, crack-resistant, dielectric material. It maintains performance across a wide temperature range (-45°C to +200°C) without degradation. Thanks to its excellent electrical insulation, it is widely used in electronic protection and sealing applications.
With its high viscosity, the product does not slump even when applied in thick layers, making it advantageous for vertical and overhead applications. It also offers chemical resistance, UV stability, and moisture protection, ensuring long-term durability in demanding environments.
