ARALDITE 2031-1 (50 ml) Black Epoxy Adhesive
Product Description
Araldite 2031-1 is a two-component, room-temperature-cured, black structural epoxy adhesive. It forms a high-strength and flexible bond for carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced composites, metals, and other thermoset materials. Thanks to its thixotropic, putty-like consistency, it can be applied on vertical surfaces without sagging and can fill gaps up to 10 mm. The 50 ml cartridge format enables practical use with a dispensing gun together with the mixing nozzle.
Key Features
• Two-component, room-temperature-cured structural epoxy adhesive • Black putty form—nearly invisible bond line in carbon composites • Thixotropic (non-sagging) structure, gap-filling capability up to 10 mm • High adhesion with metals, GRP, CFRP, SMC, and many thermoset composites • High impact and peel resistance under dynamic loads and vibration • High resistance to outdoor conditions and weather • With included spacer elements, provides a minimum 0.05 mm bond line thickness
Areas of Use
Can be safely used for bonding wind turbine blades, carbon bicycles and sports equipment, racing boats, automotive and motorsport parts, industrial machinery components, composite panels, and cladding elements.
Advantages
• Long-lasting joints thanks to high shear and peel strength • More flexible design possibilities against surface tolerances with gap-filling capability • Clean, controlled, and repeatable application with the mixing nozzle and gun • Joins many metal and composite materials without the need for mechanical fastening
