Product Overview

DOWSIL™ SYLGARD™ 160 Silicone Elastomer Dark Gray is a 2-part (1:1 mix ratio), low-viscosity silicone encapsulation and potting compound designed to protect electrical and electronic modules against moisture, environmental contamination, and mechanical shock. Utilizing an addition-cure chemistry, it cures at room temperature or can be heat-accelerated with zero cure byproducts or shrinkage. Recognized with a UL 94 V-0 flame rating, it satisfies stringent fire safety requirements. The 49.8 kg bulk drum kit is ideally suited for high-volume automated meter-mix dispensing lines.

Usage Note: Thoroughly mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio. Vacuum de-airing (degassing) prior to pouring is recommended to eliminate trapped air bubbles. Avoid contact with sulfur, amines, phosphorus, or organometallic compounds to prevent platinum catalyst cure inhibition. Excellent compatibility with automated meter-mix dispensing systems.
